Bookmarks are small files that refer to files or directories on the Internet. If you are connected to a server Fetch can save a bookmark for your current position (with the Save Bookmark command in the File menu). If no files or directories are selected Fetch saves a bookmark for the current directory; opening that bookmark later will return you to the same directory. If items are selected, opening the bookmark later will cause Fetch to automatically download the specified items. Bookmarks can be opened using the Open Bookmark command in the File menu or by double-clicking them (under System 7).
Fetch saves bookmarks in a form that was originated by Peter Lewis’s Anarchie program, and therefore bookmark files are interchangable between the two programs, with one exception: if multiple items are selected Fetch stores a bookmark for all the selected items, and Anarchie can not currently process such a bookmark.
